Cedar Rapids, IA – November 7, 2012 – Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, is excited to announce its client Owensboro Medical Health System (OMHS) has received a Best in Class award in the category of hospital websites from the Interactive Media Awards (IMA).
“It’s an honor to have our website honored by the IMA,” says Brian Hamby, marketing specialist at OMHS. “Our site plays an important role in connecting with our community and this recognition reinforces the fact that we built a world-class site right here in Owensboro.”
The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the IMA. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. In order to win this award level, the site had to successfully pass through a comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of the judging criteria – an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.
Out of a possible 500 points, OMHS’s website received 485 points, scoring a perfect in content. OMHS recently redesigned the site’s information architecture, implementing audience-based navigation which makes it easier for site visitors to find information. In addition, OMHS enlisted Geonetric’s skilled copywriting team to create and reshape more than 100 pages of content, including service lines, physician recruitment and careers.
OMHS’s website is built on Geonetric’s VitalSite content management system. The site offers rich, interactive functionality that includes provider, service and location directories, user-friendly class and events registration, and clinical trials.
