Pear Deck Successfully Scales

Pear Deck Funnels More Than $100M Back into Iowa’s Economy with One of the Largest Investor Returns in State History

After opting not to work with EDC in his first business venture, Pear Deck Co-Founder and CEO Riley-Enyon Lynch immediately knew the company needed EDC’s support when Pear Deck began in 2014. EDC stepped in and became a part of the team, helping position Pear Deck to successfully scale. EDC assisted with the company’s business plan, hiring and developing talent, and raising multiple rounds of seed capital.

EDC Founder Curt Nelson acted as co-CEO of Pear Deck to empower Riley to succeed. Curt also managed Pear Deck’s new board of directors, coached the company’s leadership team, and directed the sales team as VP of Sales. For more than a year, Curt helped Pear Deck hire and develop a highly successful sales team.

A Successful Alliance Every Step of the Way

“The number of things EDC did to ensure our success is too long to list. We would not have been as successful as we were without the team at EDC engaging with us every step of the way.”
