SWISHER, IA–JULY 26, 2012–EDC client, Cedar Ridge Vineyards, announced that it received a combination of 20 gold, silver and bronze medals in this year’s Annual Mid-American Wine Competition, the Midwest’s most prominent competition, covering 15 states. This marks the second consecutive year the Swisher-based winery received more medals than any other Iowa winery.
According to a release from Cedar Ridge, “These wines were top notch,” said Bob Foster, Director of the Mid-American Wine Competition. “Consumers ought to track them down and enjoy them.”
Cedar Ridge Proprietor, Jeff Quint, is pleased with the recognition. “This is our most important annual wine competition. Being the most awarded winery two years running really validates our effort to produce the best wines our state has to offer, from caring for the grapes on the vine, right through the Fall crush, and then the aging and finishing process,” said Quint. “We’re very thankful for the experienced winemaking team here, and it shows in our results.”
