EDC Client Inteconnex Announces New Organization and Sales Growth

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – FEBRUARY 5, 2013 – Inteconnex, a physical security and IT integrator, announced a new executive team for the Cedar Rapids-based company. Inteconnex serves clients around the country from three Midwest locations: Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. The new organization comes in the midst of record growth for the company.

“When we separated Inteconnex from Fastek two and a half years ago, our plan was to double sales by 2012—we exceeded that goal and tripled our revenue,” said Marc Meyer, President of Inteconnex. “This new organization has been structured to capitalize on new opportunities and continue to provide exemplary service to our existing customer base. As the realms of IT and physical security converge, our expertise and experience in both are proving unique and valuable in the marketplace.”

The newly formed executive team includes: Julie Meyer, CEO; Marc Meyer, President; Gary Sicard, Chief Technology Officer; and Lou Kelleher, Sales Director; and Dave Kemper, Chief Financial Officer.

Inteconnex has partnered with leading equipment manufacturers to provide creative solutions to complex IT and physical security concerns in the healthcare, banking, government and K-12 and higher education sectors. Inteconnex’s team is comprised of highly-trained technical support engineers and supplies its customers with solutions including: network communications, on-premise and cloud-based storage, virtualization, high definition video surveillance systems, facility access control systems, and systems integration.

The company leverages its IT and technical expertise to provide high availability physical security infrastructures (HAPSI)—meaning always available, with centralized management—to clients throughout the Midwest and beyond. Such an application enables users to bring together a traditionally disparate array of security management systems and hardware into a much more efficient and effective “ecosystem” of data, hardware, and systems.

Inteconnex has completed physical security and IT projects for customers such as the University of Nebraska (Lincoln), Des Moines Area Community College, Urbandale Community School District, and Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

“The Inteconnex executive team has a proven track record of technical, sales, and management expertise,” said Julie Meyer, Inteconnex CEO. “This team is poised to lead the company through even more substantial growth than we’ve realized to date.”
