As reported by the Corridor Business Journal, EDC client, Involta LLC of Cedar Rapids, has acquired the assets of SolutionPro, a data center and managed services provider in Boise, Idaho.

Under the terms of the agreement Ron Hetland, CEO and majority owner of SolutionPro, will remain as president of the organization, which will be operated as a division of Involta.  Reed Disney, current chief operating officer of the firm, will remain in place as well.

SolutionPro is a provider of data center and managed services in the Rocky Mountain region. The company provides professional IT, colocation data center and disaster recovery services to enterprises regionally and internationally.

“Involta has a tremendous reputation for building new Tier III facilities and working to engineer innovative solutions for clients. Together, we can provide a higher level of service in the region,” said Mr. Hetland in a press release.

Bruce Lehrman, CEO of Involta said, “Involta is continuing its mission to build own and operate data centers in key markets and provide service to support our clients.  The Boise area is an ideal location for a new Tier III data center. We hope to begin construction on a new Tier III data center facility in the Boise area in the next 15 to 20 months and continue to grow employment in the markets we serve.”

Involta just commissioned its first data center in Duluth, Minn., and is finishing construction on one in Akron, Ohio, with an anticipated April opening.
