MobileDemand Celebrated End of 2018 by Donating Tablets to Two Area Non-Profits

On December 28, 2018, Hiawatha, IA-based MobileDemand had the honor of donating rugged tablets to two local non-profits, Waypoint and the ARC of East Central Iowa.

The 54 Windows 10 tablets provided to Waypoint will be utilized in their business offices and childcare programs. The tablets will allow them to use a variety of software coupled with the rugged design making them a good fit for the childcare environment. Waypoint offers a variety of proactive services and resources for those experiencing homelessness, poverty, or domestic violence.

Last year, Waypoint helped 7,000 individuals, and provided 500 children with childcare. These tablets will continue to support a great organization.

“My daughter has gone to Waypoint childcare,” Matt Miller, President of MobileDemand, said, “and we thought how they help victims of domestic abuse as well as childcare aligns with our values.”

MobileDemand also donated 13 tablets to the ARC of East Central Iowa, an organization that provides various high-quality services and programs for individuals and families affected by epilepsy, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, ADHD, and brain injury.

MobileDemand said that while its business may be rugged, the company recognizes the importance of helping those nearby. “It was an honor to donate tablets to help these organizations continue to make a positive impact in surrounding communities,” Miller said.
