Five EDC Clients Make 2013 Inc. 5000 List

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – August 23, 2013 – Five EDC clients have been named to the 2013 Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of the fastest growing private companies in the United States: MobileDemand, Clickstop, Involta, Ready Wireless and Geonetric made this year’s list.

Hiawatha-based MobileDemand, maker of rugged tablet PCs, was ranked 802 on the list with a three-year growth rate of 566%.MobileDemand is a leading provider of rugged tablet computers for mission-critical computing in a variety of industries including Food and Beverage Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail, Hospitality, Transportation, Agriculture, Utilities, Military and Public Sector. 

Clickstop, an internet and retail marketer, based in Urbana, Iowa, made the list for the fourth year in a row, placing 1,555th on the 2013 list with a three-year growth rate of more than 256%. In addition, Clickstop was the 86th fastest-growing retailer nationwide; and #5 in growth for companies in the state of Iowa. Clickstop is the parent company of a suite of online retail stores based in Urbana, Iowa. Focused on offering relevant products, timely delivery, and excellent customer service, Clickstop web properties serve diverse markets that include the moving and cargo control industry, energy efficient insulation products, home organizing solutions, and personal fashion and styling.

Cedar Rapids headquartered Involta, ranked number 2,410 on the 2013 list with a 150% three-year growth rate. Involta builds, owns and operates mission-critical Tier III multi-tenant co-location data centers in secondary markets in the U.S. Involta also enables cloud computing, cloud storage, other managed IT services and consulting for enterprise customers.

Geonetric, based in Cedar Rapids, came in at 4,319 with a 57% three-year growth rate. Geonetric helps hospitals and health systems develop and implement web strategies to engage their patients and communities online. Its clients range from large health systems to small specialty hospitals.

Ready Wireless, based in Hiawatha, made the list for the second consecutive year posting a 47% three-year growth. Ready Wireless is a US-based MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) that powers devices, services and systems on a multi-carrier wireless platform for resale to wholesale private label customers.

These five companies will be featured in the September issue of Inc. magazine. There are 28 other Iowa-based companies on this year’s list. The Inc. 5000 list is a ranking of United States-based, privately held, for profit and independent companies according to percentage revenue growth for the last three years. These EDC clients join a select group of companies identified by Inc. magazine to receive this award, a symbol of American business ingenuity and ambition.
