Larry Helling

Larry Helling is the founder and CEO of Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust. He is also the CEO of CRBT’s parent company, QCR Holdings, since 2019. Larry is a graduate of Iowa State University and has more than 35 years of commercial banking experience. In his role as CEO of Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, Larry oversees all operations of the Bank.

Since CRBT’s inception in 2001, it has grown to be the largest community bank with headquarters in Linn County. CRBT’s staff is strongly committed to its community, volunteering 7,473 hours in 2019 to various organizations, schools and churches in their neighborhoods.

Larry is actively involved in the Cedar Rapids community. He serves on the Entrepreneurial Development Center Board (past President) and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids (past President). He is on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of East Central Iowa (past chairman and Campaign Co-Chair in 2015), and the Board of Trustees for Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa. Larry is also a member of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance Large Investor Council and is on the steering committee of the Awakening Connections Campaign to connectCR.

Larry and his wife, Jan, have been married for 39 years and have four adult children. Two reside in the Cedar Rapids area and two are in Denver, CO. His entire family are avid Iowa State fans. He also enjoys the theatre, travel and golf.
